Kyoto Imperial Palace
The Kyoto Imperial Palace is lined with numerous buildings that retain vestiges of the Heian period, such as the Shikikiden and Seiryoden. The vast grounds are home to approximately 50,000 trees, and are famous for its circular gardens and beautiful gardens, such as the Oike Garden and the Onai Garden.
