Jojakko-ji Temple
This temple is said to stand on the former site of a mountain villa belonging to the poet Fujiwara no Teika. The harmonious scenery of moss and maple trees is exquisite, and features such as the thatched-roof Nio Gate and the stone-paved approach evoke the quiet charm of the ancient capital. It is also popular for its fresh greenery and autumn foliage.
